🎃 Treat a Pup This Halloween with Wellness Wags!

This Halloween, share some treats and help with our tricks! Wellness Wags Assistance Dogs invites our community to join a fun and meaningful campaign supporting the training of future life-changing assistance dogs right here in Nova Scotia.

Every treat you hand out can help raise awareness and funds for puppies in training who will one day bring independence, safety, and support to Nova Scotians living with disabilities. At Wellness Wags, we raise, train, and place all of our assistance dogs completely free of charge to the individuals who need them most, but we can only do it with your help.

Here’s how to join in:

1. Print one of our Treat-a-Pup flyers using the links below:

2. Cut them along the dotted lines and tape each one to a piece of Halloween candy.

3. Hand them out to trick-or-treaters, coworkers, or friends to help spread the word about Wellness Wags Assistance Dogs!

Each cutout features one of our adorable service dogs in training, along with a QR code that links directly to our donation page. Each and every scan is one step closer to finding donors who can support their journey, covering the costs of training, veterinary care, and essential supplies needed to prepare them for their future roles.

When you hand out these flyers, you’re not just sharing candy — you’re helping to open doors for individuals across Nova Scotia who rely on assistance dogs for greater freedom, connection, and confidence.

This simple activity has a big impact: your participation helps us grow organic awareness, which in turn increases donor support — all through a low-cost and easy way to help out if you have access to a printer!

No printer? No problem!

You can pick up the flyers at various locations across Halifax including:

  • Alderney Gate Public Library – Community Flyers Shelf, 60 Alderney Dr, Dartmouth, NS
  • Cafe Lara – By the community board at the back, 2347 Agricola St, Halifax, NS
  • East Coast Dog – 3180 Isleville St, Halifax, NS

Together, we can make Halloween a little sweeter, and help our pups on their journey to becoming life-changing partners for those in need here in Nova Scotia! 🎃
